Blogmas Day 9 - Celebrate Other Creators

Oi, I 've failed a bit here on Blogmas >.<

Work got a little hectic and I've come home tired quite a bit lately. I decided that for today's blog I would highlight some awesome creators who are participating in Vlogmas this year. Everyone time Vlogmas, VEDA, or Vlogtober come around I just have to watch my favourite (and some new) faces to see what they get up to.

I hope you enjoy and if so please subscribe to their channels for more awesome content.

I hope that you enjoyed these creators as much as I do! See you tomorrow :)

Blogmas Day 3 - Learning to Budget

If you haven't heard about 'You Need a Budget" I suggest you read up on it with the link provided. The reason I bring it up is that for next year I am wanting to do better about saving money and not buying a lot of unnecessary things. The first step to that is actually budgeting out where my money is going.

I started to use this program earlier this year but started lagging and then stopped doing it completely because I became lazy (its a terrible trait of mine with personal projects). I took a look at my spending this past month and decided it was time for me to really lock it down. I have a lot of plans to FINALLY open up a store to sell products featuring my artwork and in order for me to invest in myself, I need to actually have money to purchase the products to put in my store in the first place.

I also have plans to visit Disneyland Paris, Shanghai Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Sea, and Hong Kong Disneyland (are you really that surprised?) In order to afford any of those trips I need to actually have money to purchase plane tickets, afford hotel rooms, extra money for emergency's and for purchases. Luckily I don't have to worry about a passport because thanks to having to travel to Ireland and Germany earlier this year for work I was able to get a passport and not have to pay out of pocket for it!

Ultimately I would just like to be able to have a nice cushion to fall back on in the event that something happens (which is why I also recently added Digit to my arsenal --and something I will chat about more in depth at a later date.)

If you haven't heard about Vlog-mas it is similar to VEDA or VLOGTOBER, with the exception that instead of making videos every day of the month you make videos every day of December leading up to Christmas.

Sadly my day job has me too busy (it is the holiday shopping season, after all) to do Vlogmas so instead I decided to do Blogmas! I wanted to take on this challenge for two reasons:

  1. I want to stretch my muscles and get back into the swing of blogging consistently and this is the perfect way to learn that.

  2. Far too often I will say "I'm going to start blogging regularly!" or "I'm going to write a blog tonight." and then I NEVER do. I do not want to fall back into that trap of not putting forth my full effort on my creative endeavors when I give 100% to everything else I do.

Now that we have that little bit out of the way you are probably thinking: Well what KIND of blogs can I expect to see? I know some people like to do prompts or will give an overview of their day but sadly that won't be the case for me since the majority of my day Monday thru Friday is spent at the office and my evenings aren't exactly the bees knees. So currently my plan is to blog about something I find interesting, this is my blog after all, and that can range from anything: videos games, a show I'm watching, books, or even something I come across online that I'd love to chat about.

I hope you will stick with me on this fun little experiment!
